Members have been elected and appointed to uniquely blend a broad and experienced knowledge base paramount to our activities. It insures due power, duties and responsabilities enforcement.

Hani Othman Baothman, Chairman

Hani Othman Baothman is the CEO of Al Murjan Holding, an investment holding company owned by the heirs of the late Sheikh Khaled Salem Bin Mahfouz. He is a British Chevening Scholarship holder for his MBA at the Imperial College London, and obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Reading. He has extensive experience with prominent national and multi-national public and private institutions including Al-Khabeer Financial Consultants, the Islamic Development Bank, Saudi Economic & Development Co., and ABV Rock Group. He is CEO of Al Murjan International Holding, a Single Family Office licensed by the Dubai International Financial Centre.

Olivier Nicod, Vice Chairman

Olivier Nicod is born in Switzerland, is a partner at the law firm Gross & Associés in Lausanne. He specializes in banking and securities law, banking relations, business and corporate law, merger and acquisitions, bankruptcy and collection, and contract law. Prior to that, between 2005 and 2010, he was a senior associate at Swiss law firm Lenz & Staehelin in Geneva and Zurich.  He earned an LL.M. in Corporation Law from New York University in 2007 and a lic.iur. at the Universities of Geneva and Bern in 2002. Nils Tuchschmid, Member

Nils Tuchschmid, a Swiss citizen, is professor and Head of the Finance Institute at Haute Ecole de Gestion (University of Applied Sciences), Fribourg. Before joining HEG, Nils was a Partner and Chief Strategist at Tages Group. Previously, he has co-Headed the Alternative Funds Advisory team at UBS and headed Multi-Manager Portfolios at Credit-Suisse. He also worked as Strategist and Head of quantitative research and alternative investments at Banque Cantonale Vaudoise. He was Professor of Banking and Finance at the HEG Geneva and Professor of Finance at HEC Lausanne University. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Geneva and has published numerous articles and research papers on alternative investments.

Muhammad Currim Oozeer, Member

Muhammad Currim Oozeer is CEO of Sidra Capital, and sits on either the investment committee or board of directors of all investment funds which are managed or advised by the firm. Prior to joining Sidra, he was Head of Asia Origination with HSBC Amanah’s Global Banking and Market Group based in Dubai from 2004 and Kuala Lumpur from 2006.  He has been involved with Islamic Finance for over 15 years and has closed equity and debt transactions in excess of US$1.0 billion. He holds a PhD and Master's Degree in International Securities, Investment & Banking from the University of Reading; a Bachelor's Degree in Economics and Business Finance from Brunel University; and is a CFA charterholder.

Pierre Fischer, Member

Pierre Fischer, a Swiss citizen, was born in Zurich and raised and educated in the USA. He is a graduate of McGill University in Montreal, Canada, speaks perfect English and French and has a good command of German and Swiss German. Throughout his Career he has held positions of responsibility in the areas of Investment Banking, Private Banking and Risk Management. He also has proven experience in the field of mergers and acquisitions. He is a multicultural senior-banker with broad experience as a leading Executive and member of the Board of Directors of several Swiss financial institutions.

 

Nabil Marc Abdul-Massih, Member

Born in Ivory Coast and raised in Switzerland, Nabil has been active in commodities his entire life. He co-founded Namaco in 1996, one of the largest independent originators in West African Coffee and Cocoa. In 2000 he joined Lewton Associates, brokering soft commodities in Africa and South America and interacting with the industry’s biggest players. In 2003 he joined Audit Control & Expertise (ACE) Geneva, supervising credit facilities USD 800m across 50 credit lines covering 5 geographies and more than 10 commodities. In 2006 Nabil joined INOKS Capital to seed and launch the Ancile Fund. By 2008 he had taken over the company, and heads the team and its investment products to this day, past their 110th month of trading.

Ivan Agabekov, Member

Ivan began his career in 2002 at a law firm specialized in corporate and sport law. To broaden his knowledge of the corporate world he switched to auditing for a major firm based in Geneva, where he oversaw the audit of several local SMEs. He then joined a family-owned company of 60 employees pioneering in the R&D and illumination industry. As CFO he modernized and restructured the business successfully. He holds a master of Law from the University of Geneva and several certificates in finance. He completed an EMBA in 2013 and a Diploma in commodity trading in 2014. Due to his Ukrainian and Croatian origins and multicultural upbringing he speaks fluently French, English, Croatian and German.
